INR Mate Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 May 2026

INR Mate is developed by Alistair Hutchinson / oddfruit (“we”, “us”, “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how INR Mate handles information when you use the app.

INR Mate is designed to be private, simple and respectful of your health information. The app is for tracking and record keeping only. It does not provide medical advice, dosing recommendations, diagnosis, treatment advice or clinical decision support.

1. Information You May Enter Into INR Mate

Depending on how you use the app, you may enter information such as INR readings, dates and times, warfarin doses, dose schedules, one-off dose records, INR test reminders, dose reminders, notes, target INR range settings, app preferences and export settings.

This information is sensitive health-related information. INR Mate is designed so that this information remains under your control.

2. How Your Information Is Stored

INR Mate stores your app data locally on your device.

If iCloud sync is available and enabled, your INR Mate data may also be synced using Apple’s iCloud services. This allows your data to appear across your Apple devices signed in to the same Apple ID.

We do not operate a separate INR Mate account system or independent cloud database for your health records. We do not receive or store copies of your INR readings, warfarin doses, notes or dose schedules on our own servers.

3. iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud sync, Apple may process and store your app data through iCloud according to Apple’s own terms and privacy policies.

iCloud sync depends on your Apple ID, iCloud settings, device settings, internet connection and Apple’s services. We are not responsible for iCloud availability, Apple account issues, device settings, sync delays or Apple service interruptions.

If you do not enable iCloud sync, your INR Mate records remain stored locally on your device, unless you choose to export or share them.

4. Apple Watch, Widgets and Complications

INR Mate may share a limited snapshot of your app data with its Apple Watch app, widgets or complications so that information can be shown at a glance.

This may include information such as your latest INR summary, today’s warfarin dose, reminder-related information, whether the app is in Free or Pro mode, and locked or limited display states for Free users.

This information is shared locally through Apple’s system features and app group/watch connectivity mechanisms. We do not receive this information on our own servers.

5. Reminders and Notifications

INR Mate may allow you to set reminders for warfarin doses or INR tests. Notification content is scheduled on your device using Apple’s notification system.

Notifications may display health-related information on your device or Apple Watch depending on your settings. You can control notification permissions in iOS Settings.

6. Exports and Sharing

INR Mate may allow you to export your records, for example as CSV, JSON or PDF files. Exports are created from the information stored in the app.

You control whether to create, save or share exported files. Once you share an export with another person, app or service, that information is handled according to the privacy practices of the recipient or service you choose.

7. Subscriptions and Purchases

INR Mate may offer paid features through INR Mate Pro. Purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store.

We may receive limited subscription-related information from Apple, such as whether your app has an active entitlement to Pro features. We do not receive your full payment card details.

Subscription management, billing, refunds and cancellation are handled through Apple and your Apple ID.

8. Analytics, Advertising and Tracking

INR Mate does not use third-party advertising trackers. INR Mate does not sell your personal data. INR Mate does not use your INR readings, warfarin doses or health records for advertising.

If we later add optional diagnostics or analytics, we will update this Privacy Policy and the App Store privacy information before doing so.

9. Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect or receive your INR readings, warfarin dose records, dose schedule, notes, exported reports, full Apple ID password, payment card details, precise location or advertising tracking data unless you choose to send information to us directly, for example by email when requesting support.

10. Support Emails and Contact

If you contact us for support, you may choose to provide information such as your name, email address, device model, operating system version, app version, screenshots or diagnostic details, and a description of your issue.

Please do not send sensitive medical information unless it is necessary for your support request. We use support information only to respond to your request, troubleshoot issues and improve the app.

11. Children

INR Mate is intended for use by people managing their own warfarin and INR records, or by carers assisting them. The app is not directed at children.

12. Data Retention and Deletion

Data stored in INR Mate remains on your device, and in iCloud if enabled, until you delete it, delete the app, disable sync, or remove the data through Apple/iCloud tools.

You can delete records within INR Mate where the app provides deletion options. If you use iCloud sync, deleting local app data or the app may not immediately remove all synced data from iCloud or other devices.

13. Security

We use Apple platform security features where appropriate. However, no app, device or cloud service can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your device, Apple ID and passcode secure.

14. International Use and Your Rights

INR Mate may be available in multiple countries. If you use Apple services such as iCloud or the App Store, your information may be processed by Apple according to Apple’s own international data practices.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights relating to your personal information. Because INR Mate does not operate its own user account system and we do not receive your INR or warfarin records, much of your app data is controlled directly by you on your device or through iCloud.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we may notify users in the app or through another reasonable method.
